Personality:

Ariel isn't the average teenager. After going through a rebellious stage as a child, he discovered that just challenging the norm instead of going against it was suitable enough for him. He lives life by his own terms, choosing what he likes to be his passions, whether or not other agree or like his choices.

Adopting the motto "carpe diem", Ariel lives life by trying to get the most out of each day. Whether lazing about at a cafe listening to music, out in nature writing some music of his own, or spending time with Pokemon, Ariel is almost always relaxed and collected.

Even though he has a Cocky resting face, he is actually quite humble as a trainer and a person. Years of bullying in the past lead him to develop a false ego that is enough to get people to avoid him, but still notice him, a double win for Ariel. From an early age he developed a passion for the "bottom of the barrel" Pokemon, and he shows this by being a huge supporter of Dark and Ghost types. Now becoming a trainer, he plans to become the first Ghost/Dark Champion ever, and using his fame, spread the love for all types of Pokemon.

On the outside he has a rough and prickle attitude, but like a cactus, he's soft on the inside. He is rather nice if you take the time to talk to him, but he can get very defensive if you insult Ghost or Dark type in anyway, they're too precious to him. Yet on the other hand, he tends to be very strong in his ways, and is almost unwavering to new suggestions unless he sees a use in them.

Ariel can be quite materialistic as well, fashion being his biggest area. Had he not gotten a job as a barista, Ariel would have probably ran out of money a long time ago on just clothes alone.

Ariel is also very quick to question his actions, often over thinking the outcomes of the events and usually psyching himself out. When he can over come this barrier though, he is super willing to try new things.

Finally, thanks to Ariel's constant interests in new musics and the cultures they come from, he has a world traveler vibe and is rather eager to just have a chat with a stranger, regardless of their type affiliations.

History:

Ariel Vita, "The Spirit of Life", was born in Anistar City to a single mother. His mother, who is a breeder, cared for the boy just like any mother would, but between her duties as a mother and breeder, had to leave Ariel with babysitters or day-cares' very often while he was young. At these various places Ariel was a social butterfly at first, but as he grew older a sign of something else began to surface. Randomly and without explanation, Ariel's hands, and anything they touch, would become enveloped in harmless wispy aura, common of that to Ghost Type Pokemon. While no harm came out of the exposure, the other kids began to pick on and avoid Ariel, causing him to become depressed and lonely.

After the sudden change in behavior, Ariel's mother stop taking him to day-cares', and began to have him help around the ranch with the Pokemon. Very quickly Ariel began to bond with the Pokemon, and was on his way to becoming a great breeder as he grew older. Around this time Ariel developed a particular affinity with Ghost and Dark type Pokemon, feeling that they were just like him, misunderstood and mistreated. Over the many years that he helped his mother, Ariel learn much about Pokemon: their habits, their forms of communication, their likes and dislikes, and just generally how to bond with them by appearing as one of their equals. This particular trait was great for the boy's confidence as he became more and more friendly towards other people.

In his rebellious years, Ariel began to make a 180, dislike people in general. Maybe from the repressed memories of his childhood or the way he saw other people treating Pokemon, Ariel was quite disgusted with others, yet at the same time he was intrigued by it. Not having much human interaction since his childhood, some of the things in society were unknown to him, and thus sparked his interest. After discussing it with his mother, he decided that he would become a trainer, leave the ranch, and venture out into the world. For the next few years Ariel studied various cultures, learning their customs so that he could get along better with people. Just before his 18 birthday, he went on a trip around the region to meet new people discover new things. He wasn't a trainer yet, so to him this was nothing but training for him to become a trainer, which he took quite seriously. During his travels, Ariel latched onto the idea of music in culture, and thus found his passion for learning about others by taking a look into their tastes of music.

When he returned home after a few months out, Ariel looked into the unexplained Borealis Region. For some odd reason he couldn't find much info on the region, so rather than give up, he decided to start his journey there.

Personailty: Talk about not like the superstition! Hotrock is a total Airhead at times, and is obsessed with riding free and dying young, which might be why he turned out as a ghost. It's been determined that he was once a electric type, but not even he knows what exactly he was. He can be eccentric and full of himself at times, but when he isn't trying to impress people, he is actually a nice guy. Thanks to the cart like object Ariel fashioned for him, the roadster can finally move at his own freewill, with a few hiccups. Ariel is unsure how exactly Hotrock can move on his own, but it definitely improves the Pokemon's mood. While Hotrock might be mean to Ariel at times, in the form of various pranks, he is actually extremely protective of his trainer, and grateful that he gave him the ability to move around again on his freewill. To him, Ariel is the best bro that a bro could have!}
